Bordered by Lake Erie on the north and the Metro Parks on the east, Rocky River is only 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland and 15 minutes from Hopkins International Airport and has quick access to I-90 with close proximity to I-480, I-71 and the Ohio Turnpike. The City’s location is both convenient and unique.
Recreation

Residents enjoy boating, fishing and swimming on Lake Erie. The community offers 8 city parks, an indoor ice rink, two indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis, softball and basketball courts, a track and exercise equipment at the Civic Center, year-round youth and adult programs, two theaters, many restaurants/pubs and two private clubs (Westwood Country Club and Cleveland Yachting Club).
Cultural
The community offers outdoor Summer Band Concerts, The Cowan Pottery Museum (located within the Rocky River Public Library), The Rocky River Historical Society, with the Beck Center for the Arts in nearby Lakewood that offers theater productions, musicals, dramas, comedies and arts education classes, plus the Huntington Playhouse which produces seven plays each season from May through December.
